Immersible Transducer
An immersible transducer is a completely sealed stainless steel casing containing
a transducer assembly. It is designed for immersion in cleaning tanks where bottom mounted transducers are impractical or for use in existing non- ultrasonic tanks.
Integration into existing cleaning units is easily carried out and the small depth of the transducer permits most of the volume of the tank to be available for processing.
Selected areas of the tank can be subjected to ultrasonic energy and may be increased or decreased as required. Additional immersible transducers can be installed with ease and the system of modular generators enables the extra power to be supplied without disturbing the existing units.
Ultrasonic cleaning systems incorporating immersibles do not become obsolete if production demands change. Rearrangements of position are easily carried out and the complete unit can be moved to other tanks. This flexibility permits on-line tests with little disorganization of existing systems.
The use of immersible and module generators as building blocks allows economical evaluation of the advantages of ultrasonic treatment. One or two transducers may be initially installed and further units added when the procedure is satisfactorily proved.
